SPECIAL PACKAGE: SIX MONTHS TO SUCCESS!
Our six-month training program includes the Summer Session Half-Marathon Program plus the Fall Session Marathon Program or the Fall Session Half-Marathon Program, plus lots of other benefits. See sidebar on this page for further info.
OVERVIEW
Join the program created and led by the running coach who started the
Half-Marathon Training Program Revolution in New York City… Coach Mindy. This training program will prepare you to run a Half-Marathon in one of NYC's five boroughs.
Note: The Spring session goal race distance will be a 10-miler, not a half-marathon, but you will still run 13 miles in training.

• You have run a Half-Marathon within the past year.
• You are currently (or recently) running a minimum of 10 miles per week.
• You have been running for the past three to six months.
• Group Runs. The professionally coached group runs take place mostly in Central Park. We also plan interesting new courses outside of the park. The dates of the runs are indicated on the training schedule and meet as follows:
≈Every Tuesday evening at 7:00pm
≈Every other Saturday morning per session as follows:
Winter & Spring session Sat runs meet at 9:00am
Summer session Sat runs meet at 8:00am in May & June and 7:30am in
July & Aug
Fall session Sat runs meet at 7:30am in July, Aug, Sept & 8:00am in Oct
Holiday session Saturday runs meet at 9:00am
• Distances & Types of Runs. The distance of each run will vary and include long runs, fun runs, stamina runs, speedwork and hill runs.
• Pace Groups. Time trials are run and pace groups are determined.
• Training Schedule. A comprehensive, personalized daily training schedule is designed and distributed at the Kick-off Meeting.
• Training Advice. Weekly emails are sent with training advice on many topics including nutrition, conditioning exercises, running shoes, injury prevention and more.
• Goals. A specific Half-Marathon race is pre-determined for the team. You may also run another Half-Marathon race of your choice.
• Clinics. Free entry into on-site clinics led by Coach Mindy are held on Wednesday evenings at 7:00pm, once per month.
•Tele-Clinics. Free entry into 30-minute tele-clinics led by Coach Mindy are held on Wednesdays at 5:00pm, once per month.
• Personal Attention.Individual goal-setting for training runs and races are given to each participant from Coach Mindy with results sheet sent after the run. It's like having a private coach within the group setting!
• On-Going Support. Ongoing email, phone and on-site support are included with answers to all your questions by Coach Mindy. Plus coaching support at local races.
• Energy. PowerBar® energy food is distributed throughout the training program.
• Team Gear. Team running gear and accessories are included.
• Team Camaraderie. One of the best reasons to join!
