Nick
Join the program created and led by the running coach who started the Marathon Training Program Revolution in New York City… Coach Mindy. This program will prepare you to run the NYC Marathon or any other Fall Marathon such as Chicago, Marine Corp or Philadelphia. It offers three levels: Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced. You may feel that you are in between two levels, but you need not choose a level until the program begins.

OUR PROMISE/YOUR COMMITTMENTLucida & Nilda

Training for a marathon is a serious endeavor. With our 16 years of experience in training 8,000 runners, we are serious about helping you to succeed from Start to Finish Line. The connection between coach and runner is very strong, and we are here to help you every "footstep" of the way. Therefore, your success can only be fully achieved if you have a committment to the training program. This includes attending as many group runs as possible so that we can monitor your progress (which we cannot do if we don't see you run); responding to weekly RSVP's in a timely manner (so we can properly plan the workouts that will have the most benefit for your training); communicating with the Head Coach by email or phone; and becoming a member of The Running Center's team and proudly wearing the team shirt when you race (no fee for team or shirt, just good old team spirit.)

FEATURES & BENEFITS
The Marathon Training Program is created and coached by The Running Center's Owner and Head Coach, Coach Mindy, and includes the following.

• Group Runs. The professionally coached group runs take place mostly in Central Park. We also plan interesting new courses outside of the park. The dates of the runs are indicated on the training schedule and meet every Tuesday at 7:00pm and every other Saturday morning at 7:30am in July and August and nearly every Saturday morning at 7:30am in September and 8:00am in October.

• Distances & Types of Runs. The distance of each run will vary based on your particular level. Training runs are varied and include long runs, fun runs, stamina runs, speedwork and hill runs.

• Pace Groups. Time trials are run and pace groups are determined for training runs, races and the marathon.

• Training Schedule. A comprehensive, personalized daily training schedule is designed in three levels and distributed at the Kick-off Meeting.

"Thanks for making all of this possible… running, Runditioning™ and goals becoming realities! Without ALL of the components of training from The Running Center, I would never have been able to achieve my goal of qualifying for the Boston Marathon. It has been an unbelievable experience. The friends that I’ve made, the times that we've shared, all of that is unforgettable."
