OVERVIEW
In order to run faster and stronger you need to "run faster and stronger". This sounds like a simple concept, but most runners tend to run every training run and race at the same pace. Or when they venture out to run faster they do not know what pace they should aim for. Or they try to keep up with a friend and then get injured.

This class will help you to run faster and stronger, at the correct pace for your current level, and with the least amount of injury. 

The location of The Running Center (directly across the street from Central Park) makes this class a perfect match for your bi-monthly Speed/Hill run.

The classes are developed and coached by The Running Center's Owner and Head Coach, Coach Mindy.

WHO SHOULD JOIN
This is an intermediate-to-advanced level class for runners who are currently running a minimum of 10 to 15 miles per week and can run faster than 11:00 pace for a few miles.

FEATURES & BENEFITS
• Types of Runs. Track intervals for pure speed, hill workouts for strength-speed, and circuit-training & form drills for a combination of speed, strength and conditioning.

• Distances. These runs are harder workouts and are quality-based. The distance will vary per the particular run but will generally be between 3 to 4 miles. This includes the warm-up, the workout, and the cool-down.

• Goals. These runs will improve your pure speed, lactate threshold, VO2 Max and running form so that you can run faster, more efficiently and with less effort in training and races.

• Class Length. Each class is approximately 75 minutes which includes a pre-run and post-run stretch.

• Rain or Shine. Classes meet during light rain but may be cancelled due to heavy rain, snow, icy roads or thunderstorms. Cancelled classes are re-scheduled on a case-by-case basis.
