Clinic Description: "Share The Park Day" is a celebration of all of the people and organizations who use Central Park. There will be representatives from the running, skating, cycling, and dog-owning communities with display booths and activities including running clinics, safe-skating demonstrations, dog obedience games, helmet fitting, and walking tours.
The Running Center will be holding Runditioning clinics throughout the day during this Central Park event.
This is a FREE event & clinic and there is no registration.

Clinic: "The Right Way To Run"
Date/Time: Wed, Apr 23 at 6:30pm
Location: The Danskin Store, 159 Columbus Ave. (btw 66th/67th)
Dress: Running or workout clothes & shoes
Clinician: TRC Owner & Head Coach, Coach Mindy Solkin
Agenda: 30-minute indoor clinic, followed by 30-minute instructional run in Central Park
Clinic Description: Why is it when we take up a sport or start an exercise routine, we take lessons, hire personal trainers or, at least, purchase an exercise DVD? But when it comes to running, we just buy a good pair of shoes, put on something comfortable to wear, and go out the door to the local track or park. We say to ourselves, “What’s to learn? It’s just running, right? We’ve been doing it since we were kids.
Well, believe it or not, there is a right – and a wrong – way to run. Learning to run the right way decreases your chance of injury and increases the benefits of your run, so you’ll get more physical and mental benefits and you’ll add years to your running life. Coach Mindy will share the secrets of running right.

Tele-Clinic Description: Do you know your strengths and weaknesses as a runner? Are you mentally prepared for race day? Have you prepared your pre-race altar? It has been noted that the brain cannot differentiate between an occurrence that actually happened and one that is imagined. As runners you can utilize the imagined experience to strengthen the actual experience. Call-in to The Running Center's tele-clinic and learn the five mental skills areas that will help you to prepare for race-day and achieve your goals.
Tele-Clinic Details: 30-minute tele-clinic includes 10-minute coaching from Coach Mindy, then 20-minutes of questions & answers from callers.

Clinic Description: Want to know if your body is "fit to perform" for the sport of running? Ever wonder if your sloped shoulders or your flat feet are affecting your running form? How about that leg length discrepancy. Is it causing havoc every time you run on a track? "Fit To Perform" is a 90-minute clinic designed for runners to analyze your posture and assess your gait pattern, and then to incorporate specific Runditioning exercises to correct imbalances or faulty movement patterns.

Core Training for Strength & Breath

Clinic Description: Have you ever felt exasperated during a run, totally out of breath even though you were going slower than you usually do? The Running Center will offer Hard Core, a clinic developed to teach core training for strength and breath to runners. The 75-minute clinic will include specific strength exercises for the abdominal region and low back, and breathing exercises to insure an efficient run.
